Take a peek over our back fence and this is what you will see; the gorgeous Australian bush. We are so fortunate to have this beautiful nature reserve, lined with walking trails, to explore whenever we wish. In the evenings, when Daddy gets home early enough, we take a wander into the bushland.
We would watch the parrots and the cockatoos play up in the trees, climb over fallen trees and hide amongst the branches.
You see, Jack has Cerebral Palsy, and so when his physiotherapist said she wanted to work on improving his stamina and balance she suggested we try taking some short bush walks.
An adult would have given up. Too hard. But we went at his pace and he was eventually able to walk further and further.
That was 8 months ago now. Today we went on a one hour bush walk! Over rocks, up a hill, over loose ground and through gullies.
Jack charged on, stick in hand. He fell. He got up again. He did it. I was so very proud of my little guy.
