What a week we’ve had. This week was our last as a defence family; my husband has a new job, a civilian job. It feels like such a momentous change for us. The defence force has been such a huge part of our lives for so many years now, and now that has all come to an end. No more long deployments overseas, no more moving every two years, it’s all done.

I am thankful for our time as a defence family though, I have made the most incredible friends, and all of the hardships have brought us to where we are now; happy and hopeful for what the future holds for us.

  1. The matching shade activity with the lavender is brilliant. Sarah has the more gorgeous hair. I hope your resettlement to civilian life is smooth, as I know it will be. Oh no, you will need to leave that just planted spring garden!

    • Jack really really liked matching the colours to the lavender, we did some painting after this too. He tried to mix the colours but it was a little tricky. We didn’t have purple paint, so we had to use red, blue and white. It was fun though.
