  1. What a wonderful week you all must have had 🙂 I love the activities you can do with OHPs, just wish I could get my hands on one. Hope you stop by the AKBN sometime 🙂

    1. The kids love the OHP. They do all kinds of things on it. I got mine off Freecycle. I just put a request out for one and someone got back to me. I think it was a business getting rid of old stuff. Might be worth a try.

  2. Lovely! How did the butter making go?

    1. Really well. It was so so easy. I couldn’t quite believe how easy it was actually. Just pour the cream in a sterilised jar and shake. It was so satisfying to see it come together. Plus I used to spend $4 on a tub of butter, now I can spend $1 on a container of cream and make my own with no added yucky bits. Mmmmmm so delicious.

  3. I’m tired just looking at your busy week 🙂

    1. They are busy little bees these two. Don’t worry Jenny, plenty of relaxing down time too just popping about doing nothing much of anything 😀

  4. What a great week (I bet your family went through a lot of soap!) Love your pictures!

    1. Yeah, this week was a particularly messy one. Good thing the weather was nice and warm.

  5. What a week! You had so much fun. One question though, why do you have an OHT in your house? I can see us all wanting one now though!

    1. Aren’t they fabulous?!? A while ago I was so inspired but a video I saw of a light and shade discovery area in a Reggio Emilia preschool. They were using OHP and the kids were just loving it. I used to teach and so I knew there were heaps of OHP around that weren’t being used anymore. So I put a call out on Freecycle for anyone looking to get rid of one and someone was! I was so thrilled to get it 😀

Here’s the link to my post with the video. It’s really inspiring.

  6. That guitar photos is just adorable! We also pulled out the little plastic cups this week and did some exploring. We were playing with coloured water. Lots of fun!

  7. I haven’t seen an OHP for years…you just took me back to my schooldays! What a great idea! Love the mess and paint and colours! And how gorgeous is your little man playing that guitar..so clever!!!How special they brought the bees out for hiim to see!

    1. We LOVE the OHP over this way 😀 They are so great for so many things. But you can guarantee there’ll never be any worksheets on them 😛 The kids love using it for shadow play too.

Jack is our little musician. He plays music all day everyday.

  8. So much fun that the learning is just happening

    1. Yeah, I really do love watching them work and play. There is so much going on.

  9. What a wonderful, fun filled week!! Your photos are just beautiful! We have balloon painting on our list of things to do, you have motivated me to get this organised.

  10. What gorgeous moments you captured. Love that you made your own butter ~ would love to try that myself. And the paint, the glorious messy paint, what fun!!

  11. I love the idea of covering the table with brown paper and letting them paint. I’ve used lining wallpaper and pens which has been very popular with my 3 year old but this would be even better.
