A Big Adventure: Good things happen when you say yes

A Big Adventure - Saying Yes from An Everyday Story‘What would you like to do today Jack?’

‘…. let’s go ride a bus’

(not at all expecting him to say that)…ummm… sure’

This was the start of our big adventure. We left the suburbs, backpack packed and giddy with excitement.

A first trip on a bus, a first trip into the city, a first ride on a 1914 steam merry-go-round. Marvelling at street art, playing in fountains and eating delicious cupcakes. With his camera, here’s our big adventure into the city through Jack’s eyes.

Exhausted, we climbed back on the bus. Jack and I talked about our favourite parts of our adventure while Sarah rested.

I am so glad I said yes to his request.

    1. It was such a fun day and something we will have to do again soon. Jack really loves taking photos. He can be quite deliberate about what he photographs and then other times just clicks clicks clicks. It is very sweet to watch.

  3. I love your blog. It makes me want to turn the clock back and revisit the early years of my ‘big two (8 & 6). You have reminded me on many occasions of the important things and influenced the way the day unfolds with my 2 year old in so many positive ways. Thank you.

    1. Thank you so much Kristy 🙂 I often think what it would be like when Jack and Sarah are 8 and 6…so much to look forward to.
