Lovely pictures. Today feels very Autumnal and we are reaching for our cardigans and fleeces….

  2. Hello! Your days are lovely! I have a question for you: How did you manage to save your son’s house construction for over a week without baby sister coming over to knock it down? That seems to be a recurring issue here at our house. My 4 year old loves building train tracks and lego construction sites that utilize other loose parts like wooden and cardboard blocks. My 2 year old is constantly coming over to knock them down. Any solutions you might have would be greatly appreciated. 🙂

    1. I was about to pose the same question! I have a 4- and 2-year-old, too, and it would be about 3 minutes before the construction was destructed! Looking forward to your reply!

      1. It has honestly taken a while. Jack builds a lot and we can’t always keep all his constructions out for him to continue building. We have project time most days and one thing I really insist on is each person respecting the other person’s work. So Jack needs to respect Sarah’s work as much as she needs to respect his. That means that while they can talk about their work they are not to touch it or add to it without the other person’s permission. Lots of gentle reminders to Sarah that this is Jack’s work and she is starting to understand. It’s just as important I think that she feels her work is respected too.

  3. That’s so gorgeous that Jack made an activity for Sarah! Precious. 🙂 🙂 And how about that house! The fact that he kept working on it and adding to it for so long is amazing. I love it.
