Spreading My Wings

I’ve taken a big, scary jump. I started An Everyday Story because I wanted to be a columnist. I hinted at it ever so slightly when I wrote about how life creates twists and turns for us and the pain of giving up a dream that I had held onto so very tightly.

As I happily plugged away here in this space, sharing snippets of our days, I thought about how it would feel to one day see my writing in print. That was my driving force, but then you all went and changed that.

Day after day you came back to read what I had to share, you filled my inbox with emails sharing your stories, you left me beautifully supportive comments; you made yourself known, you made this space come to life. An Everyday Story has grown far beyond anything I had ever hoped for. Thank you all so much for that.

And so I started to think…what if I turned my focus back to An Everyday Story, this amazing community that we have created here? And while I still hope to one day have my own byline in print, I realised that I have my own column right here already.

Honeybee Toys

So I have decided to bring in some companies and businesses which are well suited to An Everyday Story and who have something to offer you all, my readers. It’s a big and somewhat daunting leap. This space is very important to me and I want to ensure any new ventures will only serve to enrich this space even further.

So it is with great pleasure that I welcome An Everyday Story’s first sponsor, Honeybee Toys (you can see their ad in the sidebar menu). Honeybee Toys are an Australian family-owned business specialising in beautiful toys.

I have shopped with Honeybee Toys and can personally recommend them. Melissa, the store owner, is incredibly friendly, and their shipping within Australia is so speedy (and very reasonably priced too).

So pop over and take a peek at their beautiful range.ย For the month of November, Honeybee Toys is offering

10% off their range of Grimm’s and Selecta Toys.

I know you’ll find something beautiful for Christmas.ย Simply use the discount code EDS1113 when ordering. Your discount will be applied after ordering and before payment is received. Honeybee Toys will contact you directly to arrange this.

So welcome to Honeybee Toys and to a new and exciting chapter for An Everyday Story.Honeybee Toys

If you would like to work with me here at An Everyday Story, please don’t hesitate to contact me through my Work with Me page.

I look forward to hearing from you.

Good on you. You give so much it is only right that you be rewarded for some of your hard work!

Wondering if you have any suggestions for what to buy for a one-year old from Honey Bee? He was lucky enough to get nesting blocks, window blocks from Zart and a Ukelele for his birthday and I am stuck about what to get for him for Christmas.

I would appreciate your insight ๐Ÿ™‚

    Thanks,

    Sally
