This week in our child-led homeschool…
Sorry guys for the lateness. We’ve been working so hard on our homeschool studio that I was just too tired last night to post some photos. We’ve got walls and almost a roof now!
But I really wanted to show you some of the lovely things the kids got up to this week so I’ll make it quick. Mostly I wanted to show you some photos from a new Waldorf-inspired playgroup we have joined. I mentioned in my planning post that we are welcoming a little Waldorf into our days and while I still have so much to learn, I am truly inspired by the beauty and gentle approach to education.
The session started with some bread-making and free play outside. Followed by a nature walk and then back for a story; which was so beautiful that I really don’t have words!
And a little from the rest of our week…
Jack’s been working more on his interpretation of The 52 Storey Treehouse. I set up this simple pre-writing activity for Sarah. Big hit!Jack has wonderfully, miraculously become interested in puzzles! I actually got rid of all our puzzles because they caused so much anxiety and then out of the blue he completed one perfectly at my mum’s house. Now he’s hooked. Our kitchen garden is bursting with tomatoes at the moment.
And my little girl always so keen to help out in the kitchen.
A super quick one from me this week. I didn’t take too many photos but you can come and say hi on Instagram if you like. 🙂
What did learning look like at your place this week?
