If you need a great way to round off your lesson on poetry or would like to find a few new poems to add to your repertoire, this list should do the trick. The third grade poem, like the first and second grade poems, can be used to inspire your students’ creativity. They will be able to analyze their feelings about each line of poetry. In addition, they can use the poem as a creative writing lesson. For example, they could write an entire story based on one of the three poems or even create a novel that tells the same story as part of a series.
