Albert Brooks, born Albert Lawrence Einstein on July 22, 1947, is an illustrious figure in the realm of entertainment, known for his various talents as a comedian, actor, writer, and director. A native of Beverly Hills, California, Brooks inherited his knack for entertainment from his parents: his father, Harry Einstein, was a renowned radio comic, and his mother, Thelma Leeds, a successful actress. Brooks's comedic style, often characterized by a unique blend of satire and neurotic humor, was first recognized when he began performing stand-up routines during the late 1960s. Brooks made his film debut in Martin Scorsese's 1976 classic Taxi Driver, laying the foundations of a successful acting career spanning several decades. His prowess as a writer-director emerged with the critically acclaimed film Real Life (1979), marking the beginning of his filmmaking journey.
