Privacy Policy

What we collect, why we collect it, and the choices you have as a reader.

What we collect

Every Day Story collects only what is necessary to run the site and improve it over time. That includes basic account information for signed-in readers — typically a display name and an email address — and standard server logs that record requests, IP addresses, and user agents for security and debugging.

When you vote on a listicle item or leave a comment, we store that activity against your account so we can show you what you voted on and prevent duplicate ballots. We do not sell or rent personal information to third parties.

Cookies and analytics

We use a small number of first-party cookies to keep you signed in and remember preferences such as theme. Analytics, where present, is privacy-respecting and aggregated; we do not use cross-site tracking pixels or behavioural advertising trackers.

Your rights

You can request a copy of the data tied to your account, ask for corrections, or delete your account at any time. Comments and votes attached to a deleted account are anonymized rather than removed, so the integrity of public rankings is preserved.
