Annette

Annette is a musical drama that dives into the tumultuous relationship between stand-up comedian Henry (Adam Driver) and renowned opera singer Ann (Marion Cotillard). Their lives take an unexpected turn with the birth of their daughter Annette, a child with a unique and mysterious gift. Directed by Leos Carax, the film is a visually arresting and emotionally charged exploration of fame, creativity, and the sacrifices made in the name of art. The narrative unfolds through operatic and theatrical sequences, underscored by music from the band Sparks. Annette opened the 2021 Cannes Film Festival, where Carax won the award for Best Director.
