Bruce Shriver

Bruce Shriver is a computer science academic and a consultant and entrepreneur in the area of high-performance computer systems. Shriver received his Ph.D. in Computer Science from the State University of New York at Buffalo. He has published and lectured extensively throughout the US and abroad in the design and implementation of computer hardware and software systems. In 1990, he was made an IEEE Fellow for his work in computer systems organization and microprogramming. He has been program chairman or general chairman of over 30 international conferences or workshops in a variety of technical areas. Shriver has given a number of invited keynote lectures at various international conferences and workshops. He was president of the IEEE Computer Society in 1992. Shriver has been the editor-in-chief of two IEEE Computer Society periodicals, Computer and IEEE Software and an editorial board member of a number of other periodicals. He has served a number of terms as a member of the Computer Society's Board of Governors and its Executive Committee.
