Chas Smith

Chaz Smith (AKA Chaz Smith) (1990 - Current) Chaz is the President and Founder of a Calgary based non profit called BeTheChangeYYC. During Chaz's youth years he became homeless. He transitioned out of homelessness in Calgary to eventually work in that same homeless serving sector. Chaz worked with Calgary Homeless Foundation in 2010-2011. Chaz worked on the 10-year pland to end youth homelessness. During this time Chaz also worked at Avemue 15 yoith shelter located downtown Calgary. Chaz Smith continued to be a advocate for the homeless community. This advocacy sparked Chaz's activism spirit and need for change in the community. Chaz along with other activists in the Calgary area made a few sandwoches, bought some juice in summer 2015. That was their first outreach forshawing the future non profit to be called, BeTheChangeYYC.
