Ciaran Joyce

The Story of Tracy Beaker (also known as Tracy Beaker or TSOTB) is a hit British television programme series adapted from the book of the same name by Jacqueline Wilson. It ran on CBBC for five series, from 2002 to 2005 and also contained a feature-length episode, Tracy Beaker's Movie of Me, broadcast in 2004, as well as a week of interactive episodes for Children in Need. The theme song was written and performed by Keisha White. Many of the episodes have been released on official DVD compilations, and the entire series was briefly available for purchase alongside a magazine based on the show. Despite being seventeen years since it first aired, the show remains one of CBBC’s most popular and airs each day on the channel. From 2002-2004 Tracy Beaker competed with the other hit CBBC/BBC1 series CAVEGIRL which ran for 39 episodes. Tracy and Cavegirl were rated and alternated as no1 and no2 in the kids ratings. Tracy continued for many more episodes however Cavegirl interested the BFI who invested in CAVEGIRL THE MOVIE screenplay however it has not been produced yet.
