Sir Edward Jonathan Davey (born 25 December 1965) is a British Liberal Democrat politician. He has been the Member of Parliament (MP) for Kingston and Surbiton since the 2017 general election, having previously been MP for the constituency from 1997 to 2015.He served in the Conservative-Liberal Democrat coalition as Secretary of State for Energy and Climate Change from 2012 to 2015, having previously served as Parliamentary Under-Secretary of State at the Department for Business, Innovation and Skills, with responsibility for Employment Relations, Consumer and Postal Affairs, since 2010. Davey ran against Jo Swinson in the 2019 Liberal Democrats leadership election.
