Fritz Steuben

Erhard Wittek (3 December 1898 – 4 June 1981), better known for his pen name Fritz Steuben, was a German author who wrote war novels and stories depicting American Indians (particularly the life of the Shawnee chief Tecumseh). Steuben wrote war novels based on personal experiences in World War I (especially "Durchbruch anno achtzehn. Ein Fronterlebnis" Stuttgart:Franckh, 1933) and other novels under his birth name.
