Hamlet

After returning home to find his father dead and the court in disarray, Hamlet (Maximilian Schell), the Prince of Denmark, is informed by his father's ghost (Alexander Engel) that the death was murder, not illness. Hamlet undertakes a mission to avenge his father by ferreting out the killer, Claudius (Hans Caninenberg), who now sits on the throne and is married to Hamlet's mother, Gertrud (Wanda Rotha). But Hamlet's brooding inaction and doubts about his sanity complicate his revenge.
