John E. Herbst
John Edward Herbst (born August 12, 1952, Rockville Centre, Nassau County, New York) is a retired American diplomat who was the United States Ambassador to Uzbekistan from 2000 to 2003 and United States Ambassador to Ukraine from September 2003 to May 2006. Herbst was married to Nadezda Christoff Herbst and has five children.
