Max Embarrassing

"Amusing, coming of age tale sees young Max constantly failing to achieve despite his best intentions. When young Max turns his hand to something then it inevitably goes wrong. First there's Ofelia. Max really likes her, but when she comes over to visit, it ends in disaster. Things go from bad to worse as he unwittingly reads some of Ofelia's diary and then sets about trying to reunite her with her estranged father. His intefering but well-intentioned mother isn't much help either, especially when it comes to her public performance at the church concert. As far as Max is concerned, she's just plain embarrassing. Only Max's best friend, Hassan offers the voice of reason with his enterprising take on how to straighten your own teeth without the use of a brace. This amusing coming-of-age tale for children is full of pleasant surprises: a witty script, some great insight into the teenage transition and a confident, likeable performance from young lead Samuel Heller-Seiffert."
