Salon is an American news and opinion website, created by David Talbot in 1995 and currently owned by the Salon Media Group (OTCQB: SLNM). It publishes articles on U.S. politics, culture, and current events and has a politically progressive, liberal editorial stance. Since 2007, the company has been funded by John Warnock and William Hambrecht, through cash injections. On May 15, 2019 Salon Media announced a $5 million dollar deal to sell the company. Salon's headquarters is located at 870 Market Street San Francisco, California.
