Rover Group Powertrain Limited Powertrain Ltd was a British company based in Birmingham which designed, manufactured and marketed car engines and transmissions. The company was owned by Rover Group and Phoenix Venture Holdings limited. It was based in the South Works at Rovers Longbridge plant. There were also other manufacturing centres at Rovers other plants such as Cowley, Washwood Heath, Solihull, Gaydon and Coventry.
