He is widely recognized as the father of Indian Animation, a title that signifies the massive impact he made in the industry. From a young age, Mohan demonstrated an affinity for drawing and storytelling. His talent led him to the Film and Television Institute of India, where he honed his skills and solidified his commitment to animation. After graduating, he worked at various advertising agencies, perfecting the art of animation on the job. He eventually founded his own company, Ram Mohan Biographics, which was a critical turning point in his career. The company became known for producing educational cartoons and animated movies that resonated with audiences both domestically and internationally. Mohan did not stop at creating animated content. He continued to innovate and develop new ways of making animation more accessible and enjoyable. He played a fundamental role in the creation of iconic animated characters such as Meena, from UNICEF's flagship animation series addressing children's rights. Notably, he also contributed to the making of Ramayana: The Legend of Prince Rama, an Indo-Japanese feature film, showcasing the depth of his creativity and technical mastery. His contributions to the field of animation have been recognized with numerous awards, including the Padma Shri, one of India's highest civilian honors.
