Robert Montgomery

Robert Montgomery, MD, PhD, FACS, is chief of the division of transplantation and director of the Comprehensive Transplant Center at Johns Hopkins, where he is a faculty member, known for his irreverent antics and unconventional style at the conservative institution. He works on difficult kidney transplant surgeries, often involving multiple kidney swaps, has been profiled on numerous television programs including the Today Show, NBC Evening News and Good Morning America. He also starred in the Hopkins mini-series in 2008 on ABC. Dr. Montgomery is married to opera singer Denyce Graves, whom he met on a plane.
