Stand By

Rahul Narvekar and Shekhar Verma, two prominent players in the Maharashtra football team, happen to be great buddies too, but with a difference. While Shekhar's dad ( Dalip Tahil), a rich industrialist has his connections with the movers and fixers in the football federation, Rahul's dad ( Sachin Khedekar), a former football player, is an ordinary bank employee. The difference in the background begins to matter when Rahul is selected as the captain of the Indian team and Shekhar ends up as a stand by player. It's a humiliation which becomes hard for rich, spoilt Shekhar to bear and causes him to put everything, including his friendship with Rahul on test.
