Starz
Starz is a premium American cable and satellite television network owned by Lionsgate and is the flagship property of parent-subsidiary Starz Inc. Its programming includes theatrically released motion pictures and original television series. Initially, Starz only aired movies, but it started adding original TV series by the late 1990s. They began with non-traditional length series, and by 2010, half-hour and hour-long series were eventually incorporated into the schedule, including popular shows like Spartacus, Torchwood: Miracle Day, Boss, and Da Vinci's Demons. The number of original series that debuted on Starz each year has varied, with a high of four series debuting in 2011. One of the most popular series on the network is Outlander, which was ordered in 2013.
