WICY

WICY is a radio station broadcasting an oldies format. Licensed to Malone, New York, USA, the station is currently owned by the Martz Communications Group. WICY also has an FM translator at 102.7 FM. Unlike Martz FM sister stations WYUL and WVNV, WICY exclusively operates as a local station for Malone and nearby communities, and does not target listeners across the international border in Canada. WICY had an FCC construction permit to move to 1500 AM, with a city of license of Mooers, New York, with a proposed facility that would direct a 50,000 watt daytime signal into nearby Montreal. The permit expired on September 4, 2011 and no new application has been filed.
