William B. Umstead

William Bradley Umstead was an American politician who served as the 63rd governor of North Carolina from 1953 until his death in 1954. A Southern Democrat, he previously represented North Carolina in the U.S. Senate from 1946 to 1948 and in the U.S. House of Representatives from 1933 to 1939. He was a veteran of World War I.
