Anime characters with disabilities are surprisingly rare. Viewers with disabilities want to see themselves represented, and these characters can bring new storytelling possibilities. This list showcases interesting blind anime characters. Many have heightened hearing or other senses that help them in their world - and in action series, defeat their opponents. Gyomei Himejima from Demon Slayer is the strongest Hashira member, using enhanced hearing to fight powerful demons. Komugi from Hunter x Hunter has a different strength - she's a master Gungi player who can't be beaten, even by the super-intelligent Meruem. Which blind anime character is your favorite?
