About this list

The animated world is full of underrated cartoons, especially from the 2000s. With so many shows airing regularly, great series can easily get overlooked. However, a harsh truth exists: many cartoons copy each other. Some similarities are subtle, but others are blatant. Imitation may be the sincerest form of flattery, but it draws comparisons. A show borrowing elements from another isn't automatically bad, but it sparks debate. Let's examine shows like Johnny Test and Kung Fu Dino Posse that took cues from earlier successful shows.
