Bunny Hasn’t Been Kidnapped In ‘The Big Lebowski’

The Big LebowskiThis movie has a plot that doesn't matter. The whole kidnapping scheme and what happens are irrelevant compared to studying Jeffrey "The Dude" Lebowski (Jeff Bridges). Still, a rug ties the room together. A random goon pees on the rug. The Dude deals with the mess.

This film starts the main plot about Bunny Lebowski(Tara Reid), the trophy wife of Jeffrey "The Big" Lebowski (David Huddleston). People kidnap Bunny demanding ransom from her rich husband. He hires the Dude to move her. Things go wrong. Kidnappers send one of Bunny's toes. The Dude's friend suggests the abduction was staged for more money.

This theory seems possible. The Dude accepts it, but it is only partly right. In the third act, the audience sees two plot twists: Bunny drives her car without a care, and her nihilistic friends sit at a diner, one with only nine toes. The kidnapping plot happened while Bunny was out and had nothing to do with it. It is never fully explained; it does not matter.

'Doofy' Isn't Disabled At All In ‘Scary Movie’

Scary MovieThis movie mocks many quirks and tropes of modern horror slasher films. Much of its content relates to theScreamfranchise. One character, Doofy Gilmore(Dave Sheridan) is a man with developmental challenges. He works as an assistant at the Stevenson County Sheriff's Department, though he thinks he is a deputy. Because of his disability, Gilmore acts like a child and does things adults avoid. He parodies Dewey Riley, the clumsy sheriff's deputy from theScreammovies.

Nobody suspects Gilmore of anything bad. He gets involved in the investigation because he thinks he is law enforcement. Other characters and the audience do not know his real nature until the plot twist shows Gilmore is the killer. At the film's end, he walks to a car and smokes a cigarette, parodying the ending of The Usual SuspectsHe wasn't disabled. He could slaughter anyone he targeted.
