TV Show: Actor David Ramsey’s character John Diggle is created for the show and became a fan favorite. John Diggle started as Oliver’s bodyguard. He later became like an older brother and sometimes joined The Suicide Squad.
Comic: Oliver’s bodyguard did not exist in the comic. However, Green Arrow: Year OneWriter Andy Diggle’s last name appeared on the show as a nod to the creator. Diggle appeared in the comics during Jeff Lemire and Andrea Sorrentino’s run.
