The coroner found fifteen bullets in his body at the morgue.

Sullivan turned to crime as a teenager. He joined the US Army and ended up in a military prison where he quickly escaped. He was caught and pretended to be mentally ill to avoid court-martial. Sullivan showed a talent for escaping prison; he broke out of Attica later on.
