Ray and Winston investigate paranormal activity at Fort Detmerring in the Single Officers' Quarters, a historical site now a tourist attraction. Ray tries on a uniform and sleeps in the four-poster bed. A specter floats above him, wakes him, and has relations with the Ghostbuster.
Parts of this cut scene appear in the music montage, creating little sense for the audience without the full story.

After the boys spray the inside of the Statue of Liberty in the second movie and play "(Your Love Keeps Lifting Me) Higher and Higher" by Jackie Wilson, the landmark starts walking. This leaves the boys wondering how to drive the statue.
The scene shows how the Ghostbusters controlled Lady Liberty.

"Just let us kick some ghost, will ya?" - Dr. Peter VenkmanIn this chaotic first movie scene, the mayor asks how he can help the Ghostbusters. The scene cuts to action on the streets below, showing the military and police preparing to assist the ghost-catching crew.
Walking together, the mayor asks Venkman and Ray Stantz why this is happening now. As they talk, Janine Melnitz gives Egon Spengler her 1964 World's Fair lucky coin. Egon resists the gift, thinking they might not return, but Janine says, "Take it anyways. I got another one at home."
The boys then receive a full police escort to the site of ghostly activity.

Jack Hardemeyer gets frustrated that the Ghostbusters are stopping his plans.Ghostbusters IIAntagonist Jack Hardemeyer loses control when he and Mayor Lenny are taken to the Manhattan Museum of Art, which is covered in ooze. Peter explains to the mayor they tried to warn them about this, but Jack had them locked up instead.
To prove the Ghostbusters wrong, Jack tries to remove the ooze himself while yelling at it. He gets vaporized, leaving only his shoes. After a pause, the mayor says, "Alright. Tell me what you need."

"Why would you want to be a Ghostbuster if you are already an accountant?" - Janine Melnitz
This second movie scene shows the unlikely duo, Louis and Slimer, as the accountant hunts the gross ghost in the firehouse. Louis spots it and fires the proton pack, nearly hitting Janine. He tells her he trained in secret and asks her not to tell. Janine promises to keep Louis's secret.

Dana cannot prove supernatural forces in her apartment to the original Ghostbusters. Peter Venkman tries to calm her down by checking on her. She calls him out on his 'concern,' yelling in frustration. He tries to reassure her, says he believes her, and asks to stay the night. Dana replies, "Get out."

"It's possible you have a genetically linked etheric emanation that predisposes her to paranormal vulnerability." - EgonDana's baby carriage mysteriously hits traffic at the start of the second movie. Dana asks Peter and Egon why. She wonders if she is cursed. Egon suggests she might be prone to paranormal activity.
Though it missed the final cut, the scene shows why ghosts seem drawn to her.

"Aren't you glad we waited?" - Bride
"I don't know. It probably would have been the same..." - RoyIn the first film, a newly married couple sleeps at the Sedgewick Hotel after their wedding. The clock on the nightstand starts shaking and shattering. Roy blames his wife for the clock and runs to the bathroom, screaming at a green glowing light. The bride checks in and screams too, likely at Slimer.
