Derry's history is marred by tragedy, and it's not just bad luck. The town is heavily influenced by Pennywise, a murderous, shapeshifting clown. Familial massacres and murders are commonplace. Every 27 years, Pennywise emerges from hibernation, preying on children. With a history spanning from before human civilization to the late '80s, Pennywise has a grip on Derry, filling its story with blood, horror, and fear.
