The guitar. Getting good at guitar gives me superpowers. I make 95% of my friends through music.

I have been doing animal rescue for over ten years. I do this through anger, tears, headaches, heartbreak, sleepless nights, chasing, fostering, advocating, adopting, and being their voice. It is tiring but worth it. I still do it. I love what I do. It helps my heart and mind. Trust me, it makes you a better person. Open your hearts; many homeless animals need you.
Facebook commenterPatricia S:
It changed my life. I had to put down both my long-term kitties in September and October. Two weeks later, this little demon appeared in my bushes. She is not a TNR; she is my new spoiled little monster.

Crocheting made me better. I got sick and crocheted, then donated items to locals in need. It helps me be a better version of who I was before. It is calming and keeps me centered while helping others.

Theatre. I started in ninth grade, going from a shy wallflower to outgoing. I stopped after high school, realizing I missed it. For about 18 years, I have been on and off involved with various levels of participation.

Traveling. After conquering my fears and visiting Wasaga, I saw the party islands, the squeezers, the aqua dumps, and the bad drinking water. I knew I could face anything. That is how I became a backup goalie for the Sudbury Blueberry Bulldogs.

I started yo-yoing about eight years ago. I started a Facebook group six years ago; now, I have 3,200 people. I started YouTube in 2015. I taught myself editing, filming, everything, and now I work for a post-production company editing feature films!

Woodworking. I built this banjo from scratch in the '80s. I spent over 100 hours just cutting mother-of-pearl designs with a jeweler's saw and shaping them with needle files to inlay them into the black ebony neck. The whole project took more than two years. Patience matters.

Buying a Harley made me fearless.
From Facebook commenterEddie S:
Good for you. I started riding at 15.5 with my [driver's] permit 250 Yamaha enduro, but my first Harley was a 1990 FATBOY, and now I have a 2004 RoadKing PeaceOffice special.
