All good things must end. Entertainers know it's better to leave fans wanting more than to overstay their welcome. TV shows that know when to end are remembered fondly, while those that drag on stain their legacy. Endings are bittersweet - it's hard to say goodbye to favorite characters, but a well-ended show gets rewatched frequently. Shows that linger past their prime risk ruining their rewatchability. We asked Watchworthy fans about TV shows that went on too long, and they shared their thoughts. Which shows do you think should've ended sooner?

Two and a Half MenThey acknowledged this in the series finale.

It should have ended when Charlie Sheen left.

From Facebook CommenterNancy G:
The Walking DeadIt was perfection for about four seasons, then it became complete crap.
From Facebook CommenterRyna Enriquita M:
Agree! The first few seasons were great; then it became trash, and I stopped watching.

Grey's Anatomy.
From Facebook CommenterShawna B:
Is it still running? The last season was on Hulu and it was awful. I wondered when it would stop.

From Facebook CommenterEducate T:
It hasn't been funny since the early '80s.

From Facebook CommenterLynne A. E:
Dancing With The Stars! They fired a great hosting team (big mistake), lost a key judge and most pros, and now they are scraping the bottom for ‘Stars.’ Time to fold up the tent!
From Facebook CommenterCindy B:
I couldn't agree more.
5 - 9

From Facebook CommenterKaren Ford C:
DefinitelyThe Simpsons. Stupidest show ever.
From Facebook CommenterJohn K:
The Simpsonsdefinitely! I got behind after college in 2006; I never got caught up.
3 - 10

From Facebook CommenterMichael W:
Happy Days. That’s where the phrase ‘jump the shark’ came from.
From Facebook CommenterBonnie O:
Their ratings were still pretty good when that aired, which is weird. They switched things up to show Henry Winkler’s water skiing talent. But overall, I agree it went on too long.
3 - 12

From Facebook CommenterShawn C:
The Big Bang Theory. The last couple seasons showed lazy, predictable writing. Sheldon does Sheldon things, and Leonard does Leonard things. The whole cast could have written those episodes. They could have saved on those contract fights.

From Facebook CommenterMike R:
I am a huge fan of this show, so as much as it pains me to say it,All in the FamilyMike and Gloria moved from next door to California. Archie sat in his chair, Edith in hers, and Archie reached out to hold her hand as she cried.
