Marvel's Superman equivalents are plentiful, making the search less about finding one and more about choosing from many. Marvel Comics has borrowed inspiration from DC, resulting in several Superman analogues in the Marvel Multiverse. Even the strongest of these rip-offs, however, are not well-known in the Marvel Universe. Perhaps it's for the best that these characters, who closely resemble DC counterparts, stay out of the spotlight until a task requires a hero like the Man of Steel.

Superman-esque Qualities:The Squadron Supreme created a parody of the Justice League. The Avengers could beat this fake Justice League to show Marvel's dominance over DC. This fake Justice League needed its Superman, and that role went toHyperionThe first Hyperion took a malevolent turn. Later Hyperions became much more heroic. One Hyperion even joinedEarth’s Mightiest Heroes for a short time.
Marcus Milton shows undeniable similarities to the Man of Tomorrow in any form. He always escapes to the Marvel Universe as the last son of a dying world, timeline, or dimension, usually as a baby. He wears a flowing cape and a large, yellow logo on his front showing where he gets his power: the sun’s radiation. These powers closely match Superman's, including X-ray vision. Hyperion even copies Clark Kent’s goofy personality when he is not busy blasting cosmic threats.
Hyperion is super. In any form, Hyperion is one of the strongest beings in the Marvel Universe. He has matched Thor and the Hulk sometimes. He lifts over 100 tons, survives space vacuum, and flies at light speed. His eyes contain Kryptonian powers: X-ray vision, telescopic vision, and atomic vision that melts almost anything. Hyperion’s special brain gives him a 'hyper-intelligence' like a super-computer.

Superman-esque Qualities:During the Silver Age, young Superboy spent much time with the Legion of Superheroes in the 31st century. This team comprised do-gooders from various alien races, united by a goal to improve life across space.
The Marvel Comics character known asGladiatorGladiator is what would happen if Supes stayed in space with the Legion instead of returning to Earth. As Praetor and then Majestor of the Shi’ar Empire, Gladiator has led the Imperial Guard, a group whose makeup looks suspiciously like the Legion. They are a little less kind, as their name suggests.
Gladiator shares surface-level similarities. He flies through space with his red cape flapping behind him, and sometimes his eyes flash deep crimson, waiting for heat beams. His real name, Kallark, also blends "Kal-El" and "Clark."
Gladiator is super.Gladiator is one of the most powerful mortal beings in the Marvel Universe. He is not equal to the world's Thors, but he has a power set very similar to the Man of Steel: Hulk-like strength, supersonic speed, near-invulnerability, those eye heat beams, and even a freezing 'super-breath.'

Superman-esque Qualities: During universe collisions, Marvel’s Illuminati visited alternate Earths, blowing them up before they hit Earth-616. One world was the DC Universe in every way but name, featuring its own Justice League and its own Superman.
Zoran. An alien from another dimension, Zoran found Earth-4920001 and became its greatest hero, Sun God. Sun God took Superman-style powers by soaking up local solar energy. His cape, logo, boots, and broad shoulders all looked like 'Man of Steel,' even though Zoran’s name sounded more like another.Kal-El’s cousin..
How Super Is He?The Sun God reached Superman's power level without becoming an impossible threat for the Illuminati. He fought the Hulk bare-knuckled, using heat vision and super-punches until the jade giant went unconscious. Doctor Strange stopped Sun God when he used a demonic spell. The spell stripped Zoran of solar energy, leaving him unable to defend himself when Earth-4920001 exploded shortly after.

Superman-esque Qualities:The Sentry debuted in the Marvel Universe in 2000 but had a backstory stretching back to Superman's. The idea was thatthe Sentry– and his evil twin, the Void, held so much power that he had to erase himself from everyone's memories in the Marvel Universe, including his own, and hide for decades.
Robert Reynolds started as a normal human. He stole and drank the Golden Sentry Serum, which let him pull huge power from the sun. His abilities looked like Superman’s, but they involved either changing molecules or warping reality. Sentry's creators clearly used inspiration for his cape and 'S' logo.
The Sentry’s evil twin is a major weakness. This difference separates him from the Big Blue Boy Scout and stops him from ever joining Earth’s Mightiest Heroes long-term.
How Super Is He?The Sentry might surpass Superman if he wasn't stuck with his broken mind. With molecular control, Sentry can lift thousands of tons, fly faster than light, and rip gods apart. This is just the start. Sentry can do anything he wills, like becoming invisible, sharing his powers, or raising the dead.
The only thing Sentry cannot seem to fix is the Void.

Superman-esque Qualities:Costume-wise, the Blue Marvel comes dangerously close to the Man of Steel’s electric blue phase.Blue MarvelBlue Marvel comes close to the Man of Steel’s electric blue phase. But the similarities between them go deeper. Adam Brashear might be Earth-born and powered by science. He is one of the few...Marvel Comics charactersThese characters are as powerful as Superman. They share a nearly identical power set. Blue Marvel sustains himself by absorbing anti-matter, not solar radiation. Their superhero styles are hard to separate.
The Blue Marvel was an intentional twist on Superman, specifically showing how Superman would have been received in the '60s if he had been Black. Brashear’s government-hidden backstory is less privileged than Clark Kent's, yet his heart and dedication to the greater good stay the same.
How Super Is He?Blue Marvel's power levels match cosmic entities in Marvel or DC universes. His strength, speed, and durability align with Thor, the Hulk, the Sentry, and Superman. As a top scientific mind with hyper-cosmic awareness, Blue Marvel is smarter than most.

Superman-esque Qualities:The tale of the Marvel cult classicOmega the UnknownOmega's story is hard to tell because it never finished. Omega came from an alien race killed by space robots. He escaped to Earth on a starship, connecting with an orphaned teen in a strange way.
No one revealed the exact connection. Omega's first series ended after ten issues. Subsequent writers did not finish his story. The best guess suggests both Omega—also known as Model X3Z—and James-Michael Starling of Earth were secret space robots.
Omega looked like Superman. Knee-high red boots, a long red cape, and curly jet-black hair made him nearly identical.
How Super Is He?Omega drew power from Earth's biosphere, not the sun. He channeled it into spectacular abilities like Kal-El. He could blast kinetic energy, fly, lift cars easily, and see quick future glimpses. Readers never saw Omega's full power because he feared destroying all Earth life if he accessed too much, and his series ended before he mastered this limit.

Superman-esque Qualities:Technically,Count Luchino NefariaCount Nefaria lacks Superman traits, only favoring red capes. He used his wealth to gain powers from three C-list supervillains: the Living Laser, Power Man, and Whirlwind. This made him an antagonist who could face the Avengers alone.
Count Nefaria's ill-gotten abilities give him a power set similar to Superman's. He flies. He lifts over 100 tons. He fires eye lasers. He has invulnerability. His moral compass differs from Superman's.
How Super Is He?Nefaria appears strong enough to defeat all Earth's Mightiest Heroes solo, putting him on the same level as Superman. Nefaria still loses often. His powers come mostly from ionic energy, an elemental force Marvel scientists understand how to contain, plus his cowardice. He has Kal-El's strength but lacks stamina or heart.
-39 - 8

Superman-esque Qualities:Right from the start, the story ofEthan Edwardswas meant to honor Superman's origin, with a twist! Galactus ate the Skrull Throneworld. Their chief scientist and Super-Skrull program creator sent his only child to Earth in a rocket. The craft crashed in Iowa. An elderly couple adopted the child, unaware baby Ethan was a secret alien shapeshifter.
Genetic engineering from his birth father gave Ethan powers beyond an ordinary Skrull. He got strength from the Thing and flight from the Human Torch. As he aged, Edwards became Virtue, the costumed crusader. He had a few adventures with Spider-Man before learning his heritage.
The news made Virtue break bad for a time. He joined the anti-Avengers squad, the Revengers. He soon returned to the values his adopted parents gave him. Now, he serves under King Hulkling in the united Kree/Skrull Empire.
How Super Is He?Like other Super-Skrulls, Ethan copied abilities from Earthly superheroes. This makes him as strong as the Thing and as fast as the Human Torch. Both levels are below Superman's. As Virtue, Ethan learned to use his powers in other Kryptonian ways, mainly heat projection and X-ray vision. He also developed a unique 'healing touch.'
Virtue mostly shows how Superman’s power set fails in the Marvel Universe. This makes him more a parody than anything.

Superman-esque Qualities: Sent to Earth in a rocket from what his parents thought was a dying planet.Wundarr the Aquarian's storyWundarr the Aquarian was a remake of Superman, but it added incompetence. His planet did not explode. His parents miscalculated the rocket's programming, aging his body while keeping his mind in suspended animation.
Wundarr rocketed to Earth, possessing Superman's body and a child's mind. The Thing mentored Wundarr until he matured enough to act alone. A Cosmic Cube encounter boosted Wundarr's power and gave him understanding. Wundarr adopted Jesus-figure vibes, moved to California, and became a New Age guru, sometimes touching on superhero stuff later.
How Super Is He?When Wundarr arrived on Earth, his powers were low-grade Kryptonian: moderate super-strength, sonic speed, flight, and energy blasts. That Cosmic Cube incident raised all these powers to Kal-El's level or higher. It also gave Wundarr cosmic awareness. This stopped him from using his powers carelessly and kept him from using them often.

Superman-esque Qualities:Personality-wise,Simon WilliamsWilliams does not resemble Clark Kent much. Williams begins as a villain, then becomes a reluctant Avenger, and then an A-list Hollywood star with a matching attitude. The similarity between Wonder Man and Superman involves only the appearance.
Williams looks exactly like the Man of Steel. This includes the red eyes and the famous single black curl of hair. He has all the usual powers: flight, huge strength, and bulletproof invulnerability. This keeps him often in Superman-like poses. Wonder Man does not wear a cape; he wears his own letter on his chest and wears a jacket for a while inSuperboy-esque fashion.
Later, Simon became a dedicated pacifist. Simon fought less than the Big Blue Boy Scout. Wonder Man might have been made to joke about a Superman Justice League teammate's name and annoy the DC offices.
How Super Is He?Wonder Man does not just absorb energy; he is made of ionic energy. This gives him powers in the upper ranges of the Avengers' roster, including the famous 'Class 100' strength level reserved for Hulks and gods. Williams can also fly at supersonic speeds, change his size, and is functionally immortal. Still, he has died at least three times.

Superman-esque Qualities:If you ignore the red face,Bennet du Parislooks a lot like Superman—specifically,Superman circa 1993Exodus's powers come from his mind, making them psionic. These powers grant him Kryptonian traits like flight, invulnerability, and near-limitless strength.
A shared similarity is that a dip in self-confidence stops either Superman or Exodus. For Exodus, his mutant powers need self-esteem to work. Superman works best when he believes in himself.
How Super Is He?When Exodus believes and has a goal, he becomes very strong. His limits never get tested. Physically, he can reach Hulk-strength. His psychic skills—mind-reading, telekinesis, hyper-awareness, possession, psionic vampirism—make him a versatile fighter.
Most people think Exodus cannot beat Superman. Still, using all of Exodus's powers smartly might win him a rare victory.
-87 - 12

Superman-esque Qualities:At first glance, The Vision. and the Last Son of Krypton don't share much. One is artificial; the other is an alien immigrant. Ultron made the Vision with bad plans; the other was meant for good from birth. Remember, the Vision was built—in fiction and reality—to show heroic types. Superman seems to be his main model.
In the MCU, Vision wears a cape honoring Thor, yet he shows more Clark Kent traits. Comic book Vision uses a “solar gem” absorbing yellow sun radiation, like a Kryptonian. Vision has flight, super-strength, and face beams, plus a wholesome nature hoping for the best for humanity.
How Super Is He?The Vision boosts his strength by increasing his density, but not to Superman levels. Vision also gains the ability to become totally intangible. His solar energy beams are impressive, reaching 30,000 degrees, hotter than the sun's surface and close to Kal-El’s heat vision.
The Vision joins the mightiest Avengers. His power comes from many abilities and his super-computer brain directs his use of them. Physically, this alloyed metal synthezoid likely cannot match the Man of Steel.
