    Andy Hertzfeld

    Andy Hertzfeld, born April 6, 1953, is an American computer scientist and inventor. He joined the original Apple Macintosh development team during the 1980s. Hertzfeld bought an Apple II in January 1978. He worked for Apple Computer from August 1979 to March 1984. He designed the Macintosh system software. Hertzfeld co-founded Radius in 1986, General Magic in 1990, and Eazel in 1999. In 2002, he helped Mitch Kapor promote open source software with the Open Source Applications Foundation. Hertzfeld worked at Google from 2005 to 2020.

    Bill Atkinson, born 1951, is an American computer engineer and photographer. Atkinson worked at Apple Computer from 1978 to 1990. Atkinson designed the graphical user interface (GUI) for the Apple Lisa. He was one of the first thirty members of the original Apple Macintosh development team.
