The oldest NFL players of 2024 prove that with good conditioning, will, and luck, athletes can stay on the field long past the typical retirement age. Quarterback Tom Brady, 45, is the oldest player in the NFL, five years older than the next oldest. Other veteran players include QBs Joe Flacco, Drew Brees, and Aaron Rodgers, and kickers Matt Prater and Mason Crosby. Most of the oldest active NFL players are kickers and quarterbacks, positions that offer some protection from the game's physicality. Check out this list of NFL players over 35 to see who's still competing against younger players. As medicine and conditioning improve, more players may join this group in the future.
