The modern animal kingdom can be frightening, but millions of years ago, it was even more terrifying. Many of the scariest extinct creatures are related to animals we know today, but with a twist: they were bigger, scarier, and often had buzzsaw-like teeth. Some of these massive animals lived alongside the T-Rex, while others emerged after the asteroid impact, inheriting some of the dinosaur's most frightening features. Although many of these extinct animals have descendants alive today - with a large number found in Australia - they are hardly as dangerous as their ancestors.
