Award-winning TV shows often leave fans with unanswered questions. The greatest shows tend to have unexplained plot points. This phenomenon isn't unique to TV - Oscar-winning movies also have unexplained moments. While characters living above their means is a common TV trope, introducing a new character in a series finale without backstory is a more glaring example. Such unexplained moments occur more frequently than you might think.

Co-creatorRobert King noted"We kind of wanted it to be never answered because it's really what Alicia decides for herself... [whatever] makes her feel good."
King also claimed actors knew the reason for the call. He shared, "We needed to [tell them], and we needed to help Josh come to a place. Maybe Josh will tell someone someday." All the secrecy seems needless.
