Watchworthy Fans Discuss Hated Characters

From a Facebook commenter.Richard B:

Charlie Brown. People called him blockhead and used other names. They treated him like he was inept at everything. Even his dog treated him poorly. Linus was the only one who treated Charlie Brown right.

From a Facebook commenter.Phillip F:

Daffy Duck always got his beak shot off. You heard crickets after his shows.

From a Facebook commenter.Joey K:

Bugs always bullies him. No wonder he stays in a bad mood; I get it.

From a Facebook commenter.Justin M:

Anakin Skywalker was just a boy. People insulted him behind his back from then on. That shows in how people act around you. I would not want to be around people who constantly say, 'He has darkness in him,' or 'I don't trust him.' What is that religion? I said it.

From a Facebook commenter.David C III:

Fans say Anakin was an abused slave child. He was taken before puberty and told to suppress all feelings. He becomes a stiff, awkward, emotionally immature person with poor communication. It is a miracle no one was as robotic as Anakin. Christiansen's acting and Lucas's script seemed 'awkward,' but it fit the situation despite much hate.

From a Facebook commenter.Eun-Hye Emilie P:

Always hated that Johnny Lawrence was attacked. I was glad the Netflix series showed the whole character arc.

From a Facebook commenter.Peter A:

The villain inThe Karate KidThe bully wins with an illegal kick.

From a Facebook commenter.Steph W:

Juice fromSons of Anarchy. I felt bad for what happened to him.

From a Facebook commenter.Ce C:

Yes, terrible! But he knew the world and would have known the results.

From a Facebook commenter.Steven W:

Walt Jr. He was a kid. He acted like a teenager trying to fit in. This, plus being disabled, shapes things. What would you do as a teenager? He was a good kid, sad about bullying, his dad dying, and sensing something wrong.

From a Facebook commenter.Edgar R Jr.:

Rose Tico fromThe Last Jedi. Nerds were mad at her. Kelly Marie Tran is in therapy because of them. They should be mad at Rian for that bad movie.

From a Facebook commenter.Steven W:

Rose fromStar Wars. Rose was not a main character, but I did not get the hate she got or the haters of that movie until after seeing it. I thought Leia floating in space was too much, but that was all I knew that made me see why people were angry. I feel bad for both actors and the treatment they got for playing the role they were meant to play.

From a Facebook commenter.Jay M:

Captain Marvel (Brie Larson).

From a Facebook commenter.Jack C. B:

She is pretty. She is badass! She rocked it! People are too critical now. All jealousy.

From a Facebook commenterLisa D:

Gollum fromLord of the Rings. He had the human condition. He is my favorite character.

From a Facebook commenterAlbert Benjamin V:

Gollum destroyed the ring. Frodo was too greedy.

From a Facebook commenterJenny Meadows M:

Jenny Gump. She faced abuse and had a hard life.

From a Facebook commenterSteven W:

You hate her; you missed the movie's point. It was a tragic love story. She was wrong, but she had no bad intentions. She did not like herself enough to be with Forrest before she got sick.

From a Facebook commenterSteven W:

Jar Jar Binks was a goofy side character, like C-3PO in the original trilogy. He did not deserve all that hate.

From a Facebook commenterNienor A:

I say Jar Jar too! He was not worse than the Ewoks. I do not get why people hated him so much. For me, he fit intoStar Warscanon seamlessly.

From a Facebook commenterTabby R:

I want to say Sakura fromNarutoIn the beginning, Sakura is a child paired with her crush. She makes up for it inShippudenwhen she is older and more mature!

From a Facebook commenterMeghann W:

Agreed. She was the first person who came to mind. The writers gave her the wrong trait by making her love for Sasuke her main character trait.

From a Facebook commenterBrian C:

Leland Palmer inTwin Peaks. Bob possessed Leland Palmer. Sarah was possibly possessed by Judy (or something else) when she was young. The deck was stacked against Laura before she was born.

From a Facebook commenterDanny T:

Skyler fromBreaking Bad. She may have nagged, but Walt's faults were much worse. He lied to her, ruined their family, and had loved ones and strangers killed. She was one of his many victims.

From a Facebook commenterSteven W:

Skyler fromBreaking Bad. She did awful things that stopped the main character and she was wrong for it. But he was a bad man too. Because of how the show was written, people loved him and hated her. They were both bad at times; him was arguably worse. She was easier to hate because of the writing.

From a Facebook commenterSteph W:

Dolores Umbridge fromHarry Potter and the Order of the Phoenix. She did not know she wore a Horcrux, though I still hate her because it is hard not to! 🤣
