Thanos Doesn't Use The Power Stone In His Fight With The Hulk

At the beginning ofAvengers: Infinity WarThanos goes toe-to-toe with the Hulk and beats him. Many viewers thought Thanos needed the Power Stone from his Infinity Gauntlet to win. Thanos did not use it during that fight; you see he never lit it or made it glow. Thanos kicked the Hulk's butt alone.

According to screenwriterChristopher MarkusThis shows Thanos, the Genghis Khan of the universe, is unbeatable in a one-on-one fight. He conquered thousands of worlds. He fights better than the Hulk, Thor, and Loki.

Loki's Demise Is In The Beginning Of The Film For A Good Reason

WhenAvengers: Infinity WarLoki's death starts with the destruction of the Asgardian ship. Loki dies. This scene shocks and challenges many fans because Loki changed from a bad villain to a hero. His final selfless act against Thanos ends with his neck breaking. This shocking end happens in the first 10 minutes of the film.the directorsdid that for a good reason, as Joe Russo explained:

Part of what they wanted was to unsettle you while watching. You sit in the theater thinking most characters in the Marvel Universe have been safe for ten years. And they wanted to make the audience see the stakes were big and the cost high in the movie.Loki's death also set Thor on his path. Thor seeks out and makes a proper "Thanos-killing weapon." Anthony Russo explained this, saying, "Besides making Thanos the lead and POV, this scene heavily starts Thor's arc in the film, who might have the second-best hero's journey."

Loki's death helped set Thor's path. Thor then sought and made a proper "Thanos-killing weapon." Anthony Russo said, "Besides making Thanos the main character and point of view, this scene also starts Thor's story in the film, who might have the second-best hero's journey."

The Actors Didn't Know If Their Characters Would Survive

Because the studio feared script leaks (hence the "blue" and "red" scripts), actors in Infinity War did not know if their character would survive the snap until filming the final scenes.Infinity Warexplained how she and her co-stars got into a van on set. The Russo brothers told them the news secretly:Infinity Warthe actors did not know if their characters would be erased by the snap until filming the movie's final scenes.Elizabeth Olsenexplained how she and her co-stars got into a van on set. The Russo brothers told them the news secretly.

The Russos told them exactly what would happen. They only learned the movie's ending when they filmed it that day. They put everyone in a van; the air conditioning worked because it was hot. They told them the ending, but no one knew. Then they said, "Now we're shooting it, Go!" We asked, "How are we supposed to interpret that?"

This left the actors little time to prepare. Any actor knows they need time for a death scene. However, the way these characters died made it easier since they disappeared from the screen. Not everyone got into the van. Leticia Wright, who plays Shuri in the MCU, was not briefed and only learned about her character's demise after seeing her face on a black and white teaser poster. The character dies. She saw her face on a black and white teaser poster.

'Infinity War' Patches A Plot Hole From The 'Thor' Franchise

One of the biggest plot holes in the first part.Thor.film is that the Rainbow Bridge is brought down, stopping Thor from returning to Midgard. Still, he does return to Midgard forThe Avengers., and Loki asks, "With the Bifrost gone, how much dark energy did the All-Father have to muster to conjure you here, your precious Earth?"

That line explained why the Bifrost's absence didn't stop Thor from showing up, but it did not please fans who point out plot holes. Heimdall fixed this.Infinity War.Infinity War finally fixed that plot hole permanently.

The writer.Christopher Markus.Explained the problem and the fix used in Infinity War.Infinity War.: "InAvengers., where Thor returns, saying 'Odin used all his dark magic to get me home.' People said, 'That was just a cheat because you broke the Bifrost'—and you saw where the dark magic came from, straight from Heimdall."

When Heimdall uses that dark magic to send the Hulk to Earth, that is fan service to close the plot hole.

    Peter's Spider-Sense Isn't The Product Of CGI

Peter Parker's Spidey-Sense is a useful superpower that warns him of danger. Comics show this with lightning bolts shooting from his head, but that does not work well in live action. At the start ofInfinity War., Peter and his classmates travel on a school bus, and Peter's Spider-Sense starts tingling, shown by his arm hair standing straight up.

You might think CGI created this, but it did not. This was the first time this power appeared on screen, but getting Tom Holland's arm hair to rise like that happened practically. Nobody had a plasma globe. Someone just blew into the actor's ear off-camera. Sometimes, easy fixes work best. DirectorsJoe and Anthony Russo.Explained how they made it happen:

Joe Russo.: We get asked this often. How did we get the hair on Tom Holland's arm to stand up?

Anthony Russo.: In ourNew York Times"Anatomy of This Scene" revealed something. People think it is a CGI shot, but a gentle blow on Tom's ear actually made it happen.

There's A Reason The Hulk Doesn't Come Out After His Fight With Thanos

At the film's start, the Hulk fights Thanos one-on-one. The Hulk could not defeat his enemy; he got kicked and sent back to Earth. When he later refuses to appear, he seems unwilling or unable. This leaves Bruce Banner unable to fight Thanos's forces.

Internet users spread theories about why the Hulk did not appear, but those theories were wrong. Director Joe Russo explained why keeping the Hulk hidden made sense.Joe RussoJoe Russo explained why the filmmakers kept the Hulk hidden. The reasoning makes sense.

The journey with Banner involved deciding how to move him in the Marvel Universe. Banner has a host body fought over by two warring personalities who both want control. The team thought this direction worked: What if the Hulk stopped solving problems for Banner? The relationship grew dysfunctional; he tired of playing hero for Bruce Banner.

The Film Gave The Screenwriters The Opportunity To Bring Back The Red Skull

The Red Skull is the first MCU character obsessed with the Infinity Stones, at least chronologically. This made him perfect for the exposition needed to show Thanos how he could get the Soul Stone on Vormir. He fits as the person stuck on Vormir because he was taken out at the end of Captain America: The First Avenger.Captain America: The First AvengerThe Film Gave The Screenwriters The Opportunity To Bring Back The Red SkullMcFeely and MarkusMcFeely and Markus knew this well:

Chronologically, he is the first character. Cinematically, he is the first in the MCU obsessed with these Infinity Stones. He did not die at the end of The First Avenger. The First AvengerThe idea of where he might have gone was tempting. Getting to Vormir and understanding its rules requires an expert. You should not doubt the rule of Vormir whoever tells you. This fit perfectly with Chris and my desire to bring the Red Skull back to the universe.

Unfortunately,Hugo WeavingWeaving did not want to return as the Red Skull after contract problems. So, Marvel turned toRoss MarquandThe actor, many recognize him from makeup as Aaron from AMC'sThe Walking DeadHe used his impressionist skills to play the role. Most thought Weaving returned. The end credits showed who played the Red Skull.

Kenneth Branagh Made A Cameo In 'Infinity War'

Kenneth Branagh directed Thor into the MCU. WhenAvengers: Infinity Warsome thought he made a brief cameo appearance when it hit theaters. Eventually, the Russos confirmed Branagh did make a cameo, but it lacked his on-screen appearance.

When the movie starts, viewers hear Branagh voicing the distress call from the Asgardian ship. Most viewers missed theKenneth Branagh made a cameo., since it serves mainly as background sound.

"This was an amazing surprise," Joe Russo said. "We had this idea late in the editing process to ask Sir Kenneth Branagh to do the opening distress call over the logo that carries us and sets the scene with Thor, Thanos, and Loki on the ark."

Several Characters Had To Be Substituted Due To Film Rights Issues

Learning thatAvengers: Infinity Waris based on a comic series will probably not surprise people, but many changes happened to bring that story to the screen. Film rights issues mean all characters from the comics who played big parts could not appear in the film (without a lot of lawyers and money), so the Russos and writers made changes.

Two comic characters could not be used: the Silver Surfer andMephisto. In the comics, the Silver Surfer warns Doctor Strange (and Earth's heroes) about Thanos takingthe Infinity Gauntlet. Another character tied to the Surfer who could not appear was Mephisto, who stands with Thanos for much of theInfinity War. He had to be replaced by Ebony Maw.

Neither character could be used without major legal fights over their ownership by Fox at the time. Disney bought Fox later, giving Marvel the film rights back, but this happened afterInfinity WarInfinity War was already released.

Ebony Maw's Defeat Was Inspired By Indiana Jones

Avengers: Infinity WarAvengers: Infinity War has great action scenes. One moment ends fast. Iron Man and Spider-Man take down Ebony Maw. The character captured Doctor Strange. With little prep and short time, the two heroes shoot him into space, ending him instantly.

This scene could last longer. The directors felt the film had enough action. They handled the villain fast and moved on. Joe Russo explained why they dispatched him quickly and how anotheraction movie stargave him the idea:

We decided to use a quick, efficient move, like Indiana Jones with a gun. That felt more surprising than a slow, complicated sequence. The movie already has a lot of action; we did not need another five-minute action scene.
