Keep the toilet lid closed when not using it. I have a tiny bathroom and drop things a lot. This small move stops me from dropping everything, from toothbrushes to mascara brushes, into the toilet water.

Keep a toilet plunger handy where a guest can see it. This saves everyone some embarrassment.

I use a squeegee after every shower. It helps keep the shower cleaner longer by stopping soap scum and hard water stains from building up. I squeegee the walls and glass doors before leaving the shower. This takes under 30 seconds.

Declutter. Do not keep knick-knacks on the toilet back. Do not leave items on the counter. Do not use fluffy toilet-seat covers. Fewer items out means fewer things to clean, move, or obstruct you. With surfaces clear, the job becomes simple.

I clean much easier and faster when I do it while doing other things. For example:

I keep a scrubbing sponge on the tub end. After starting my shower, I scrub the tub before soaping to clean myself.

After washing up, shaving, or brushing my teeth, I spend 30 seconds wiping down the sink and countertop.

With the room still steamy and after toweling off, I toss my towel on the floor and use it to mop up. I do this not every day, but after a few days, when it is time to change the towels.

Men who stand while peeing see all the dirt on the toilet's visible areas. So, before flushing, I grab some toilet paper squares and wipe those visible spots to keep things fresh.

Building these things into my routine cuts down cleaning work. Once every week or two, I spray bleach on the toilet for spots others miss. Then, I use Windex on mirrors and chrome. This takes about five minutes because other tasks are already finished.

I use a new face towel daily when washing my face. My skin is sensitive, so this is all the exfoliation I need. I also use it on my shoulders where body acne used to appear; using the face towel made it disappear!

As a final trick, I rinse the cloth well and wipe the sink and any other spot that needs it when I finish. Then, I toss it in the laundry. My bathroom stays dust-free and clean always now :)

Have an electrician put in a dimmer switch where the regular switch sits. This stops you from blasting yourself with bright lights and waking up fully if you need the bathroom in the middle of the night.

Do not keep the same razor too long; germs grow, and skin irritation happens. People think the shaving act causes it, but the blade often holds bio-life.

Keep a container of Clorox or Lysol wipes around. Sanitize the toilet and sink in under 60 seconds. Use Poopourri or a similar product when you go number 2. That stuff works!

Spray bleach everywhere. Let it sit for ten minutes or longer for it to work. Wear an apron or white clothes; you might get stained or ruined if you lean into the bleach on the tub or toilet. Use Lysol or Clorox pre-moistened quick wipes. Move the old rag from the kitchen sink to the bathroom and scrub with it. Also, use the dual-action pre-moistened wipe.

Zep tub and tile cleaner works, but it smells strongly of chemicals. Keep an extra towel in the bathroom and dry it fast after use. This takes 30 seconds a day.
