In the My Hero Academia universe, Class 1-A isn't the only group of heroes-in-training. Class 1-B is also in the mix. Despite Monoma's boasts, they're not to be underestimated. Each member of Class 1-B has their own unique quirk, just like Class 1-A. But what makes their quirks tick? This list has the answers. Take Itsuka Kendo's Big Fist, which is as simple as it is effective - she enlarges her hands. Neito Monoma's Copy quirk, on the other hand, is complicated, allowing him to replicate others' quirks with many restrictions. Class 1-B's quirks can also get creative, like Manga Fukidashi's meta Comic quirk and Kosei Tsuburaba's unusual Solid Air ability, rarely seen in anime.
About this list
- 1

Neito Monoma copies another person's quirk when he makes physical contact. He can copy several quirks at once, but he keeps only one active. To switch, he must swap the current one. Each quirk stays active for about ten minutes. To use it again, he must touch the original owner.
Monoma copies many quirks, but limits exist. Some quirks demand years of intense training to master. He instinctively understands how to use most quirks, but his body needs strength to use them. He cannot copy quirks like One For All, which rely on generations of power and knowledge. Still, his quirk remains very versatile and useful.
202 - 2

Black is a complex quirk on this list. Shihai Kuroiro merges his body with any dark-colored living or non-living thing. He controls the movements of mobile things he merges with. He can merge with shadows. This makes him one of the last people Fumikage Tokoyami wants to fight—he can possess Dark Shadow. Shadows and things that turn bright in light are risky. Too much light can eject him from them.
183 - 3

Tetsutetsu Tetsutetsu turns his skin into steel. This shields him from most physical attacks, fire, and ice. If the flames are too hot, he risks melting. Steel also boosts his attacks. Maintaining this depends on iron intake, though it is unclear if this means iron chunks or minerals from food like red meat and spinach.
132 - 4

Yui Kodai presses her fingers together to change the size of non-living things she touches. She controls the size fully, making objects massive or microscopic. This only works on non-living objects; she cannot make a villain pocket-sized for jail.
129 - 5

Ibara Shiozaki has thick, thorny vines growing from her head instead of hair. She uses these vines to restrain targets, make shields, or grab things. She controls her vines if they are removed from her head. Since her vines don't conduct electricity, those with electricity quirks struggle against her. Despite the thorns, people never get scratched when she uses them.
129 - 6

Juzo Honenuki's quirk makes anything he touches soften. This works well for traps. If an enemy walks onto the ground, they get stuck in the quicksand-like material. Juzo moves through softened things easily. He can reverse the effect anytime. He also uses this to make weapons and projectiles useless before they hit him.
118 - 7

Reiko Yanagi uses Poltergeist to telekinetically control objects about the size of one person. Weight changes for each person, but Reiko controls up to 137 pounds (62 kilograms). Poltergeists get their name because they are ghosts known for loudly disturbing things.
103 - 8

Togaru Kamakiri uses Razor Sharp to create sharp blades from any part of his body. These blades take any size or shape. He slices through iron or steel pipe like butter. He sometimes makes blades from his feet to stay steady while using blades from his arms.
84 - 9

Sen Kaibara belongs in another anime.Tengan Toppa Gurren Lagann.Sen Kaibara's quirk, Gyrate, lets him spin any body part like a fast, powerful drill. This increases the damage of his physical attacks. It works best in close-range fighting.
82 - 10

Yosetsu Awase welds two objects together at the subatomic level when he touches them. He can also weld himself to people or things. He undoes the welds he makes whenever he wants. He cannot use his quirk unless he touches more than one thing simultaneously.
75 - 11

Kosei Tsuburaba breathes out to create solid walls in the air. These walls can break. Training lets him strengthen them, making them hard to break. They offer good defense and increase movement range. Because the walls block sound, they stop sound-based attacks.
69 - 12

Hiryu Rin uses his quirk to generate green, reptilian scales on his arm and other body parts. These scales offer good defense against attacks. They are weaker than Steel or Hardening. Hiryu Rin uses his scales as weapons that damage metal or cut Ibara's vines.
66 - 13

Fukidashi's quirk, Comic, is funny and actually helpful. He speaks, and that creates huge Japanese characters—onomatopoeia—that appear. These words then do what they describe. For instance, saying "KA-BOOM! BANG! BLAM! BONK!" makes massive, blocky letters that smash through walls. Saying "jimejime" creates humidity. However, using it too much causes a sore throat and weakens his attacks.
59 - 14

Setsuna Tokage's quirk lets her split her body into up to 50 segments, controlling them with her mind. Body parts with organs still function, but separated pieces eventually lose ability. She can regrow lost parts, though not always perfectly. This quirk risks danger, but it serves long-range fighting and spying well.
58 - 15

Pony Tsunotori's Horn Cannon lets her detach her horns and use them as remote projectiles. These keratin horns strike hard enough to restrain or throw foes like Tetsutetsu and Shoji. She uses them to lift people or ride them for speed. She grows new horns almost instantly. The problem is she cannot use the quirk if her horns are held down or if she lacks enough keratin in her diet.
56 - 16

Nirengeki Shoda creates an amplified version of any impact, whether from his own attacks or others', right where the impact occurs. While the landing spot for the Twin Impact lacks flexibility, its greater strength compensates for that.
46 - 17

Kinoko Komori's quirk lets her generate fungal spores that quickly grow into mushrooms. These mushrooms grow on everything: soil, plastic, and human skin. Inhaling the spores can cause mushrooms to grow in your lungs. Kinoko cannot ignore this, so she must hold her breath while using the quirk. The mushrooms need humidity, so she sprays the area with a spray bottle to increase it.
45 - 18

Jurota Shishida looks animalistic already. Activating Beast turns him into a monster with huge fangs and thick fur. His senses sharpen, his strength and speed improve greatly, and he withstands painful electric shocks easily. The downside is over-energizing in this mode, causing him to make risky choices or endanger his allies.
45 - 19

Big Fist lets Itsuka Kendo enlarge her hands. This boosts her striking power. She can carry allies and heavy objects. Her hands act as a shield. She generates wind to bat away poisonous gas by flapping her hands.
42 - 20

Kojiro Bondo's head fills with a glue-like substance sprayed from holes. People hit by this substance cannot remove it easily. It hardens while covering them. Mina Ashido's Acid dissolves some of it. Kojiro's quirk uses a real Japanese company name: CEMEDINE CO., LTD.
