First dates can be nerve-wracking - you want to be your best self while checking for chemistry. Some go well, ending in more dates or a life together. Others don't. People who've experienced these disasters shared their stories on Reddit. They've recounted creepy comments, from discussing baby names to making violent jokes or asking to bring their ex to lunch. Here are some of the creepiest things people have said on first dates - which one takes the top spot? Stories have been edited for length and clarity.

"You've actually been talking to my mother. I'm not very good at things like this." WE HAD SEXTED.

I am a girl; the mom was texting for her son.

    From Redditor u/NotGreatAtSocializin:

I told this guy Iplayed the piano, and about half an hour later, he said: “If I wanted you to always remember me, I'd break your ring fingers. They don't heal well, and then you'd always think of me while playing.”

I left the restaurant fairly quickly.

He wanted a 4 am walk at the park. When I refused, he said, "Don't worry. I won't rape you," and gave me a twisted smile.

    From Redditor u/CR9193:

He described how men are all naturally as violent as those in the movieA Clockwork Orange and how they actively suppress this violence to fit in with society. This guy also invited me to a pub. He drank water while buying me G&Ts. I left that place fast.

    From Redditor u/Mummyto4:

A few months ago, I matched with a guy on Tinder. Things seemed good over chat, so we met for a date.

As soon as we met, I felt a bad vibe. He was not a creep, but I sensed we would not progress. He seemed off and less friendly than online. I decided to eat and chalk it up to experience if it failed.

During the meal, alarm bells sounded when he started calling women "stupid and pointless," saying they are only good for "one thing." I grew very uncomfortable and sought an exit. I got defensive, saying talking about women that way is derogatory. Then, he complained about vegetables in his burger, picking out the lettuce. He called the waitress who took our order a "dumb b*tch" because he specifically said no vegetables in his meal. The lettuce ended up in my handbag, which angered me. I finally left, feeling like shoving the lettuce into his misogynist face. Running to my car was an understatement (luckily, I got to the restaurant before we met up, so he did not know my parking spot).

I got in my car and unmatched him on Tinder, blocking his number. Still, another number texted: "Hey it's *Brad from Tinder, I know pretty much all I need to know about you so let's have sex yes?" That sounded creepy. He analyzed me to see if I was suitable for sex. I ran off fast and blocked that number. I did not reply. Then, another number sent, "c*ck teasing wh*re" and "I'll see you again one day, and then I'll have my moment."

That was the last message. He was an utter jerk. He was creepy. His face was planet-sized.

He was in the Canadian military. I asked if he volunteered overseas. He said, "NO! I joined the military to kill people, not to help people."

I drank my beer and left as quickly as I could.

    From Redditor u/Excellent-Raccoon-32:

“I invited my ex to join us for lunch.”

[The ex] showed up. We went to McDonald’s. The ex was nice and tried to ease the tension. She did not know it was a date. She thought she was just meeting her ex for lunch. She was shocked I was there. While my date was in the bathroom, the ex told me she hoped to get back together. I told her that was fine; I had no interest then. There was no second date. They got back together weeks later.

We first met at his house. He took me out to lunch somewhere "surprise." I did not know it was McDonald’s until we reached the parking lot. He did not mention inviting his ex until we arrived. She showed up soon after. I would have left before she arrived. But he drove me there. It would have been an expensive taxi back to his house to get my car. After lunch, he took me back. The ex arrived in the car too. He tried to start a movie, but I insisted on leaving. He took my car keys and locked himself in his bedroom, hiding them from me. I felt scared then. His housemate helped me find my keys while my date started the movie with his ex. I left without saying more.

    From Redditor u/haley4221:

This guy did not talk. I brought up a few topics because they usually talk all the time. I had nothing else to say and asked him to start talking. He then said:

“What I want to talk about, can't be said in public”

I ended the date. He thought we would go to my place to 'talk,' but I refused. I got in my car, wrote down his car, and took deep breaths to settle down. His car remained in the parking lot. I waited thirty minutes before he left the lot, and stayed another fifteen before I departed.

I went out with a girl one night. After dinner, she drove me into the mountains (I was new there). After some time, with no lights left, she started talking about serial killers. She said, “I used to think about getting away with stuff like that sometimes.”

    From Redditor u/Baby_Driver_2007:

She drove us back from the restaurant and said, “You are in my car now. I can take you anywhere. You are like my prisoner.”

I laughed the first time she mentioned it because I like dark humor. But as she continued, I realized getting out of the car meant that would be the last time she saw me.

    From Redditor u/Kyoshi-atemycabbages:

I went on a Tinder date to the movies at eighteen. He drove me in his truck, blasting loud, depressing music. At the theater, he used his phone to swipe on Tinder constantly. Then, he leaned over and told me I was lucky to be with him because other girls wanted him. Yikes. My roommate picked me up when I left for the bathroom.

    From Redditor u/MinimalCollector:

She showed me a long list on her phone with at least sixty to seventy baby names for when she has a kid. She joked about having baby fever.

They were all country-style names, like "Brekken" and "Gatlin," which made them sound unpleasant to me.

    From a former Redditor:

We met online and chatted for a while before meeting in person. During the date, he started talking about telling the story of that date to our grandchildren. If I had connected with him, the story might have been romantic, but it just scared me.
