I order as walking on the app when I am near the store. If the drive-thru isn't packed, I roll through, tell them I ordered as a walking, and coffee is ready. If you select drive-thru, they make it at the speaker. This tip from my Dunkin ladies makes my DD experience lovely.

Make the Frozen Dunkaccino right: Use vanilla ice cream (it is worth bringing). Use regular Dunkaccino powder, one pump vanilla bean, two pumps coffee syrup, two pumps mocha, a dash of cinnamon, blend, and drink. If you skip the ice cream, toss Dunkaccino powder into a vanilla shake. This is similar and less likely to make you sick.

Take notes. I spent two years testing ingredients here and made some great items. I will list them from simplest to most complex, ending with my best creation.

- Nutella swirl: Easy. Mix equal parts mocha swirl and hazelnut shot. Stronger mocha flavor with hazelnut swirl works if you like it. My daily drink is this with whole milk and a double shot. Vanilla beans: Just a vanilla bean Coolatta with a turbo; a tasty mix.

- Long sandwich: Cut and toast a bagel twist. Spread cream cheese gently. Top with lots of bacon. Or, eggs and sausage fit well on halved bagel twists.

- Burrito (ONLY IF YOUR STORE STILL HAS BOWLS): toast 2 tortillas, fill with half a bowl, wrap, and toast again for crispy outside and gooey inside.

- Monster energy slush: Warning: this needs more research. The current recipe uses half a can of Monster, two pumps of your flavor, blend on Coolatta, medium, double.

For a frozen drink, try Frozen Hot Chocolate with Vanilla Bean instead of Mocha. This gives you a nice, creamy, rich, and chocolatey flavor. I have not tried it with the Oreo hot chocolate powder, but that might be even better.

For coffee flavors, choose Caramel plus Cinnabun for a Honey Bun taste. This works well for my Iced Lattes. I also tried Caramel plus Maple Pecan for a Praline flavor. That was good, but I suggest a bit more caramel than MP.

I only drink iced lattes, so I do not know how coffee tastes. I think it will still be good, though.

Tips from an employee:

Press the ready button for "on-the-go" before entering. You will not get the order, receipt, or sticker until you press it. Many customers press the button as they enter, which backs up baristas when there is a line. Press the button ahead of time if you want your drink fast, but do not press too early, or your order will wait over ten minutes.

Know the milk, sugar, and flavor mix to get your order right and how you like it. Use this info to ask for sweeter, darker drinks. For example, for a medium coffee light and sweet with cream, ask for five milks and five sugars. If you want extra caramel in a medium drink, ask for five pumps! Here is the ratio for each Dunkin' drink:

Small drink gets two milk/cream, two sugar, and/or two flavor shots or swirls.

Medium drink gets three milk/cream, three sugar, and/or three flavor shots or swirls.

Large drink gets four milk/cream, four sugar, and/or four flavor shots or swirls.

Extra-large drink gets five milk/cream, five sugar, and/or five flavor shots or swirls.

When ordering, state if you want the unsweetened (sugar-free) or swirl flavor. For instance, there is a hazelnut swirl and an unsweetened hazelnut flavor shot. Asking for the exact one stops your drink from needing to be remade.

Ask which coffee pot is fresh. Many baristas will brew a fresh pot if you ask, provided you wait three to four minutes for it to finish.

Hash browns tip: Some stores keep them hot all day. My store makes them fresh after 11:30. Honestly, they are trash if they have been holding. They get soggy and weird. I like them fresh, not after. Go at the right time!
