    Rue's Glitter Star

Episode: Eight, "And Salt the Earth Behind You"

    Star: Zendaya

"The episode eight glitter tearsThe episode eight glitter tears aimed to show a gritty, real version of the hallucinated gold glitter tears from the blanket fort in episode two. The big iridescent star connected to the billboard image from episode one. Davy revealed some meaning when the iridescent star vanished in episode eight.

    Rue's Glitter Tears

    Episode: One, "Pilot"

    Star: Zendaya

"I want to present makeup in nuanced, interesting ways. I do not want each character to be just an archetype or a stereotype. Rue is a tomboy and a drug addict, but that does not stop her from expressing herself through makeup."Davy said. For this look, Davy made a "galaxy effect" by mixing Lemonhead.LA glitter products with water.

    Cassie's Rhinestone Eyeshadow

Episode: Eight, "And Salt the Earth Behind You"

    Star: Sydney Sweeney

"I wanted to create a feeling that was the opposite of Cassie’s present reality in this moment... This was a total fantasy makeup that needed to match Cassie's costume perfectly, by @heidibivens. Our call time that day was very early (like 4:30 a.m.), and it was a rare time where I did not really have a plan."

    Maddy's Rhinestone Liner

Episode: Eight, "And Salt the Earth Behind You"

    Star: Alexa Demie

"There is more to Maddy’s makeup than rhinestones and cat-eyes! Underneath her elaborate armor, Maddy feels the pain of crushed childhood dreams and an abusive, psychotic boyfriend. I designed her makeup with a fantastical element because, despite her fierce outward personality, Maddy is a devoted romantic who wants to escape the 'loveless marriage' she has at home," Davy said.

    Kat's Red Jewel Cat Eye

Episode: Eight, "And Salt the Earth Behind You"

    Star: Barbie Ferreira

"Her new look [throughout the season] was meant to be like a rebellious, alternative version of glam makeup and a total f**k-off to all things precious, subtle, pretty, and perfect," Davy said."

    Kat's Glitter Cross

    Episode: Six, "The Next Episode"

    Star: Barbie Ferreira

"Kat is dressed as Thana from Ms. 45... This look is highly technical. From the eyeshadow to the upside-down crosses to the black lip liner. @donni.davy designed it and applied it, either I or Donni, or sometimes both. The crosses took me time to get right," Coleman said.

    Jules's Iridescent Eyes

Episode: Eight, "And Salt the Earth Behind You"

    Star: Hunter Schafer

"Jules won’t ever be the same after her trip where she met Anna and ended up crying neon orange tearsOn a rooftop at dawn, @mistersamlev wanted Jules’ final hair and makeup to show a goth look with red eyes. Jules is a genius. I like the black hair “antenna,” which @melaniestylez created to frame her face. Jules always shows a captivating spark of free spirit and optimism, and a magical sense of innocence. The @face_lace iridescent eye-framing stick-ons symbolize that quality. Paired with the antenna, they give her an otherworldly insect vibe," Davy shared.

    Jules's Spikey Eyes

Episode: Eight, "And Salt the Earth Behind You"

    Star: Hunter Schafer

"This was pure fantasy. I wanted Jules’s eyes to look like they could injure Nate. The audience needed a visceral look, a little cheeky, almost funny. I was trolling @face_lace and fell in love with these"eye spikes for Jules," Davy explained.
