The Film Features Both The 'Ritual Of Chüd' And 'The Turtle'

Screenwriter Gary Dauberman told CinemaBlend how filmmakers plan to show the "Ritual of Chüd," a bizarre and visually hard part of the book. To kill It, the Losers' Club adults will have a psychic battle against the evil.Dauberman explained.:

The Ritual of Chüd is tough. It is an important part of the book, so we had to deal with it...

Andy Muschietti thought a lot about this. That was great. I was moving through the Adrian Melon parts and other book stuff I want to see on screen. I am writing that. Andy thinks about Chüd and how he wants to show it all. He came up with brilliant ideas. It will be amazing.

Muschietti spoke to Syfy Wire.he planned how to show "The Turtle," the good thing that fights It.

The book says the turtle couldn't help them. But I think in the second part, the turtle will help them. The turtle left clues about their childhood that they forget. They must find those memories from the summer of 1989. That is how we jump back to 1989. The keys to beating Pennywise are in the past, and adults do not remember them.
