    Awesome Dad To The Rescue

    From Facebook commenterGloria W:

I was 16. I went to a hangout to meet some kids, then I went home and got a flat. I called my dad, and he came, gave me his car, and told me to go home. He changed the flat and drove home. It was cold, December up north. I felt bad, but he said I did the right thing. A flat happens sometimes. He was an awesome dad!

    Being Proactive At 16

    From Facebook commenterPatrick M:

I was 16. I drove a van full of flooring wood. The rear tire broke, and my ears rang. The van was an old type with no split between the front seats and cargo. I changed the tire and kept driving.

    Sparks Were Flying

    From Facebook commenterBrett P:

My front passenger tire blew on my '82 Regal at 65 mph on a county highway. I nearly went into the ditch. I controlled the car. My spare tire was flat, so I drove twenty miles on the rim on the shoulder. The tire peeled off the rim after a mile or two. I drove back into town. Sparks flew, especially when I used the brakes. Many people watched that night. My friend jumped into the back seat and hid until we reached my parents' house. We were about 19 years old.

One night on the way home, the car started dragging left on the interstate. I didn't hear much, so I checked it at home. The tire was flat. Apparently, I drove all the way home on it.

    'Trying' To Be Helpful

    From a Facebook commenter.Robert A D:

I was about 11 years old and my dad drove. We got a flat tire. My dad said he could fix the tire in four minutes. He went out. My mom told me to help. I went out and dropped all the lug nuts. I yelled, "Oh fudge." I did not say fudge; I said the F-word. That night, that was the worst tasting soap I ever had in my mouth.
